This Advertising Content Policy (“Policy”) establishes the guidelines and ethical standards for all advertisements (“Advertisements”) and related materials (“Advertiser Materials”) submitted to and published on our platform. Our goal is to maintain a high standard of content that is both engaging and aligned with our core values. We are committed to ethical advertising and ensuring that all published content upholds principles that respect Islamic ethical guidelines, as well as general community standards.

2. Purpose and Scope

Purpose

This Policy is intended to:

• Ensure that all Advertisements reflect a standard of quality, responsibility, and respect.
• Protect our audience and uphold our values by preventing the publication of content that could be considered offensive, harmful, or contrary to our ethical commitments.
• Provide clear, actionable guidelines for advertisers to follow when submitting content.

Scope

This Policy applies to:

• All Advertiser Materials submitted by any advertiser, partner, or stakeholder.
• All advertisements displayed on LightPillarAds’ digital taxi top displays, online platforms, and any other media outlets managed by us.
• All parties engaging with our platform, including advertisers, agencies, and any third-party service providers.

3. Ethical Guidelines

At LightPillarAds, our ethical guidelines are influenced by both universal community standards and Islamic ethical principles. Advertisements must not include or promote any content that falls into categories considered haram or morally inappropriate. Our guidelines include, but are not limited to, the following prohibitions:

• Explicit or Immodest Sexual Content: Advertisements must not contain nudity, explicit sexual imagery, or language that is overtly suggestive or promotes promiscuity.
• Alcohol and Intoxicants: Content promoting or glorifying alcoholic beverages or substances that impair judgment is strictly prohibited.
• Gambling: Advertisements that encourage, facilitate, or glamorize gambling activities are not allowed.
• Interest-Based Financial Products: Promotion of conventional banking, insurance, or financial services that involve riba (interest) is not permitted. Advertisements for financial products must adhere to Shariah-compliant practices.
• Other Haram Activities: Any other content deemed contrary to Islamic ethical guidelines—including hate speech, extreme violence, or any activities considered unethical within our community standards—is prohibited.

4. Permitted Content

While we maintain strict guidelines on what is prohibited, we encourage Advertisers to be creative and engaging. Advertisements that:

• Highlight local business values,
• Promote community engagement,
• Emphasize family-friendly and wholesome content, and
• Uphold ethical standards

are welcome. All content should be clear, accurate, and should not mislead consumers.

5. Submission, Review, and Approval Process

Submission:

Advertisers must submit all Advertiser Materials along with any supporting documents in accordance with our submission guidelines. These materials should be complete, legible, and adhere to our Specifications.

Review:

All submitted Advertisements will undergo a review process by our content team. During this review, we will assess the content against our Policy and ethical guidelines. This process includes a check for adherence to Islamic ethical standards, local community norms, and legal requirements.

Approval or Rejection:

LightPillarAds reserves the right to approve, request modifications to, or reject any Advertisement at its sole discretion. If an Advertisement does not comply with our Policy, the advertiser will be notified and given an opportunity to revise the content.

6. Compliance and Enforcement

Advertiser Responsibility:

By submitting Advertiser Materials, you represent and warrant that your content complies with this Policy. Non-compliance may result in the rejection of the content, cancellation of your advertising campaign, or other remedial actions without liability to LightPillarAds.

Ongoing Monitoring:

We reserve the right to continuously monitor published Advertisements. Should content later be found in violation of this Policy, LightPillarAds may remove or modify the Advertisement and take appropriate measures.

Legal and Regulatory Requirements:

All Advertisements must also comply with applicable laws and regulations in Nova Scotia, Canada, as well as any international guidelines where relevant.

7. Amendments

LightPillarAds may update or modify this Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Your continued use of our Services after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
